How and Why
Teaching your kids to clean their teeth is a difficult task. It can be hard to get them into the habit of doing it, and then even harder to keep them motivated. However, if you teach them properly from an early age, they will likely do it on their own for the rest of their lives! Check out teeth cleaning techniques that you can try at any time.
The first thing that you need to do when teaching your child how to brush her teeth is establish healthy habits right away. To start this process off right, purchase some small toothbrushes with soft bristles so that she has something easy and enjoyable to use while getting used to the activity. The next step is setting up a time each day for brushing teeth; make sure its after breakfast or lunch so they can go to brush afterwards. Then you need to find a fun way for them to learn how; this can be in the form of stickers, treats, or games like “I Spy” using their toothbrush!
Once they get into the habit of brushing their teeth after meals each day and are enjoying doing it (it is okay if they don’t love it at first), then start teaching your child about proper oral care. Some great things to teach her include:
– How much fluoride she should use in order to prevent cavities
– What kinds of food will build up on her teeth so that its easier for plaque and tartar buildup
– Proper flossing techniques so that gums stay healthy too!
